Insboard HD is a high density vacuum formed ceramic fiber board with excellent insulating characteristics and an increased mechanical strength.  This high density board is very robust!  Use this material for insulating the doors in a horizontal forge, the lid in a vertical forge, or other applications as you may see fit.  This stuff is expensive, but definitely worth it.  The better your forge is insulated, the less fuel you use, the higher the temperature your forge will be able to reach and the cheaper it is to operate in the long run!
